CHESTER, Pa. – The Albright men's soccer team matched Widener in shots with 11 each, but Widener used a goal in the 28
th minute to hold off the Lions, 1-0.
That goal came on a cross from the right side to Justin O'Brien. He beat goalkeeper
Billy Mullen high for his first goal of the season. The Lions came back late with three shots and a corner kick in the final 15 minutes, but they couldn't find the equalizer.
Anthony Parlato and
Steve Bien-Aime led the Lions with two shots apiece.
Miles Williams had Albright's lone shot on goal in the game. Mullen made three saves on 10 shots faced. Widener held a slim 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
The Lions next play at Messiah on Saturday at 6 p.m.
