MECHANICSBURG, Pa- A pair of first-half goals were the deciding factor as the No. 12 ranked Messiah College defeated Albright men's soccer team when the two teams met in conference action. Following the 2-0 loss on Saturday evening, the Lions record fell to 2-10-2 and 0-5 in the MAC Commonwealth. Meanwhile, the Falcons improved to 11-0-3 and a perfect 4-0 in the conference.
Messiah posed a threat throughout the entire game, as the Falcons dominated possession. When all was said and done, the Falcons outshot the Lions 33-0. Despite that, goalkeeper
Billy Mullen recorded eight saves and kept the game within reach for Albright. Kirby Robbins put Messiah on the board in the 13th minute, while Will Cochran added an insurance goal in the 40th minute of play.
The Lions return to action on Wednesday when the Knights of Arcadia University travel to Shirk Stadium for a conference match-up. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
