CHESTER, Pa. – Natalie Wilson scored two goals as the Albright women's soccer team defeated Widener, 5-1, on Wednesday night. With the victory, the Lions moved to 3-0-1 in conference play.
The Lions took a 1-0 lead on an own goal by Widener in the 16
th minute. Widener came back in the 22
nd minute to tie the score at a goal apiece, but the Lions took a 2-1 lead just before halftime in the 40
th minute.
Crissy Terraces scored the go-ahead goal, her fifth of the season.
Wilson netted her first goal of the night in the 54
th minute with an assist from Terraces. Soon after,
Morgan Valera scored her second goal of the season in the 61
st minute to make it 4-1 Albright. Wilson then capped the scoring in the 74
th minute on a helper by
Megan O'Brien.
Wilson and Terraces combined for seven of the team's 10 shots.
Alexis Tunney made four saves.
The Lions next play at Messiah on Saturday at 3 p.m.
