READING, Pa.—Ken Richardson posted two first-place finishes, but the Albright men's swimming team lost to Arcadia 146-116 on Saturday in the Albright Natatorium.
Richardson earned first-place finishes in the 200 breaststroke finishing the race with a time of 2:17.55. The senior also topped the competition in the 200 IM, where he posted a finishing time of 2:02.50. Richardson also earned a second-place finish in the 200 butterfly, where he posted a time of 2:07.60.
The Lions also earned first-place finishes from Tyler Chamberlain and
Jay Deschamps in the 100 breaststroke and 50 freestyle, respectively. Chamberlain finished his race with a time of 1:01.08, while Deschamps defeated his competition by a stroke finishing his race in 22.39—only .06 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.
Deschamps also posted a second-place finish for Albright as the sophomore finished the 100 freestyle with a time of 49.67.
The Lions 200 medley relay earned top honors as Chamberlin, Deschamps,
Sean Riddle, and
Maliq Williams posting a time of 1:39.87.
Deschamps also swam a leg on the 400 freestyle relay who finished second overall. Along with
Teag Culver, Matthew Schaeffer, and William Griffith, the relay team posted a time of 3:21.48 for a second-place finish.
Albright returns to the pool next Saturday when the Lions host Cabrini College in a dual-meet at 1 p.m.
