Field Hockey Qualifies for ECAC Championship

READING, Pa. – The Albright field hockey team has qualified for the ECAC Division III Championship, announced Monday afternoon by the organization. In the eight-team field, the Lions are the No. 3 seed in Region 1 and will face Muhlenberg on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Alvernia. The match is the second of a doubleheader with host Alvernia and Washington & Jefferson playing at 4 p.m.

Albright enters the match with an 11-6 record and will look to match its win total from last season with a victory over Muhlenberg. The team's 23 victories over the last two seasons matches its combined win total from the previous four seasons.

The Lions are led by MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year Kaley Donmoyer and First Team All-MAC Commonwealth defender Cassidy Barrow. Forward Amanda Long and midfielder Tracy Long were Second Team selections.

The four winners of the first round matches on Wednesday will play at the highest remaining seed in the semifinals on Saturday. For the ECAC release, click here.
