FORT PIERCE, Fla. –
Tanner Brescancine drove in two runs and
Connor Travis pitched five strong innings leading Albright to a 4-2 victory over Kenyon and a split of a doubleheader on Tuesday at the Lawnwood Complex.

Brescancine was 1-for-3 with two RBI, while Travis surrendered just two runs while striking out three to pick up his first career victory in an Albright uniform.

Brescancine staked the Lions to a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning of game one.
Â
With two outs,
Noah Beebe was hit by a pitch to begin the rally.
Julian Cimino followed with a double to left and Brescancine brought home both runners with a double to left center to give Albright a 2-0 lead.

The Lions extended the lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning when
Kyle Gantert scored from third base on a wild pitch.
Â
Albright upped the lead to 4-0 with another run in the third inning when
Jesse Fikslin singled in Cimino who had also singled earlier in the inning.
Â
Travis sailed through the first three innings, but gave up single runs in the top of the fourth and fifth innings.

The Lions bullpen of
Daron Pijanowski and
Philip Angelastro held off the Lords for the final two innings. Angelastro earned his first save of the year as he got the last two outs of the seventh inning.

Cimino went 2-for-3 and scored a pair of runs and Beebe, Brescancine and Fikslin all had base hits.

Kenyon bounced back to win game two by a 14-8 count as Phillip Nam had two hits and drove in four runs and Alec Manning drove in three runs.

Bryan Brubaker was 3-for-4 and drove in a run, while Cimino and
Austin Roth each had two hits and an RBI in game two.
Â
Phil Staehle pitched well in relief for Albright in game two as he went 2.0 innings and allowed no hits, while
Ken Tsuchiya went 0.2 and did not allow a base hit.

Kenyon jumped out to an early lead as the Lords scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Â
Albright answered back with a three-run second inning.
Â
Cimino singled to left center to open the inning and one out later moved to moved when Fikslin singled. Roth followed with an RBI single to left that got the Lions on the board and cut the lead to 4-1.

With two outs,
Brandon Triantos reached on an error allowing Fikslin to score to cut the lead to 4-2.
Â
Brubaker capped the inning with a single to center that brought home Roth and got the Lions to within 4-3.
Â
Kenyon responded with two runs in the third and three more runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to expand the lead to 9-3.

Albright chipped away at the lead with a run in the fifth inning and three more in the sixth inning.
Â
Beebe plated
Micah Storms with a double to left in the fifth inning and Storms, Pijanowski and Cimino all delivered RBI in the sixth inning to cut the lead to 9-7.
Â
Kenyon put the game away by scoring five times in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Â
Albright added a run in the top of the seventh inning when Triantos singled to score Fikslin.
With the split, Albright is now 3-4 on the season while Kenyon is 7-5.
Albright will look to wrap up its Florida trip with a winning record when it faces Earlham at 10 a.m. on Wednesday (March 16).
