READING, Pa. -- Senior
Erin Farrell scored four goals and dished out two assists leading Albright to a 15-6 non-conference victory over Misericordia on Monday at Shirk Stadium.
It marked the fourth time this season that Farrell has recorded at least four goals in a game and extended her point scoring streak to eight straight games.
After Albright fell behind 2-1, Farrell took over. She scored back-to-back goals to give Albright a 3-2 lead and then assisted on the next two goals which upped the Lions lead to 5-2. Farrell added two second-half goals.
Jacqui Montague finished with three goals, while
Mariah Cullen,
Amanda Smith and
Danielle Carey each scored two goals.
Sophie Bass and
Tori Meyer also scored for Albright.
Bass led the Lions with three assists, while Cullen and Smith also added helpers.
Emily Hutson earned the win in goal for the Lions, while
Hayley Joyce played the second half and made five saves.
Misericordia, which dropped to 2-4 on the season, was led by Erin Baker who had three goals and Cara Spector who scored twice.
Albright, which raised its record to 5-3 on the season, held an 8-2 lead at the intermission and outscored the Cougars 7-4 in the second half.
The Lions return to action on April 2 when it visits Messiah in their MAC Commonwealth opener at 1 p.m.
