READING, Pa. – Matthew Muoio won matches at No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles to help lead the Albright men's tennis team to a 5-4 victory over Hood in the Lions MAC Commonwealth opener on Saturday at the Albright Tennis Courts.
 
Muoio defeated Alex Sexton 6-1, 6-3 at No. 1 singles and then teamed with Ken Richardson to defeat Alex Sexton and Josh Sexton 8-3 in No. 1 doubles action.
 
Richardson also won two matches on the day as he defeated Joe Benton 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3 singles.
 
Albright, which improved to 1-9 overall and 1-0 in conference play, also received a pair of victories from Evan Cuff. Cuff defeated Josh Sexton 6-2, 6-0 at No. 2 singles and paired with Joey Olkusz to defeat Benton and Jorden Hahn 8-3 at No. 2 doubles.
