RADNOR, Pa. – Behind eight individual event wins on the day, the Albright Lions men's swim team earned a 155-88 win over Cabrini in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon.
Eight different Lion swimmers earned individual wins on the day and one Albright relay team topped the podium as well. Sophomores
Will Griffith,
Teag Culver, and
Sadiq Sistrunk all led the Lions to pull away from Cabrini in the scores with individual wins, while juniors
Jay Deschamps and
Conor Hassard also posted wins as well. In addition, Albright got wins from freshman Harrison Hunsberger, Bryce Schaffer, and Corey Hausler as well.
Deschamps and Culver each posted two podium finishes in the meet as they led the Lions 200 yard medley relay team to victory with a time of 1:44.85 along with sophomore
Anthony Spanier and senior
Tim Resch. Culver then earned his individual win in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:49.36. Deschamps then posted a time of 48.73 to win the 100 yard freestyle, which is currently the third best time in the MAC this season. Griffith posted the best time in the MAC this season in the 1650 yard freestyle with a time of 17:21.78, while Hausler earned the win in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.56. Hassard used a time of 2:05.87 to earn the win in the 200 yard butterfly, and Schaffer posted a win in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:05.72. Sistrunk and Hunsberger closed out the Lions victories on the day with wins in the 200 yard breaststroke and 500 yard freestyle.
The Lions will return to the pool at the Golden Ram Invitational in West Chester on Friday, December 8
th and Saturday, December 9
th.
