Glenside, Pa.- Devon Mela and Kelly Baumann each scored four goals to lead women's lacrosse past Arcadia, 14-6, Saturday afternoon in Glenside.

Albright started the game on a three-goal run when Danielle Carey, Mela and Baumann each scored goals within the first three minutes.

After two goals by Arcadia, Mariah Cullen answered back with a goal of her own to keep Albright in the lead, 4-2.

The Lions answered another Arcadia goal with three more goals of their own. Two by Mela and one by Sophie Bass on a feed from Mela.

Arcadia put up another goal with one minute left in the first half. Albright took a 7-4 lead into halftime.

The Knights opened the second half with a goal before Cullen answered back for Albright 13 seconds later. Baumann and Patricia Horgan each scored to increase the lead to 10-5.

Over the final 16 minutes of the game, Carey and Mela each put goals on the board for Albright. Baumann put up two of her four goals to round out the game.

Carey and Cullen each scored two goals on the afternoon. Bass and Horgan each scored one goal.

Carey and Cullen also dished out two assists while Mela had one.

Hayley Joyce made 11 saves and had four groundballs.

The Lions return to Reading on Saturday when they travel to Alvernia for the final regular season game of the year. The game is scheduled for 12 p.m.
