ABINGTON, Pa. – Behind a dominant offensive performance, the Albright Women's Soccer team earned a 3-0 win on the road against Penn State Abington on Tuesday afternoon in non-conference play.
With the win, the Lions improve to 2-3 on the season and snap a three-game losing streak. Meanwhile, Penn State Abington falls to 0-4 overall.
Albright's offense got rolling early as senior
Crissy Terraces tallied her team-leading third goal of the season in the 20
th minute after chipping the ball from the box past the Nittany Lion goalkeeper. The Lions continued to create good scoring chances as the first half went along, but eventually took the 1-0 lead into halftime. Albright outshot Penn State Abington 9-3 in the first half.
The Lions picked right up where they left off in the first 45 minutes as they tallied four quick shots in the first five minutes of the second half. Albright would then create breathing room in the 81

Jillian Lapidus tallied her first goal of the season when she beat the Nittany Lion goalkeeper on the right post. The Lions put the finishing touches on the win with a goal in the final minute from junior
Summer Slusser. Not only was the goal from Slusser her first of the season, it was also the first in her collegiate career.
Albright held a convincing 21-3 shot advantage over Penn State Abington after outshooting them 12-0 in the second half. The Lions also held a sizable 9-1 advantage in corner kicks as well. Lions junior goalkeeper
Payton Bogatch picked up the shutout win after making one save in the full 90 minutes of play. Penn State Abington goalkeeper Samantha Friend suffered the loss after allowing three goals and making five saves in 90 minutes.
The Lions will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 16 when they will host King's College for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
