YORK, Pa. – The Albright volleyball team opened the Spartan Invitational at York College on Friday with a match against FDU-Florham. The Devils defeated the Lions in straight sets, winning 25-18, 25-20 and 25-19.

Kellie Hill led the Lions with 11 kills, and Shaniyah Taylor added six. Claudia Guise had 27 assists. She also led the Lions with three aces. Morgan Puller led Albright with 13 digs. Guise and Becca Davis each had 10 digs.

FDU-Florham outhit the Lions, .299 to .145.

Results from Albright's second match of the day against La Roche weren't immediately available.

Albright concludes the Spartan Invitational on Saturday with two more matches. The Lions face Bethany at 1:30 p.m. before facing host York at 3:30 p.m.
