WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Albright men's tennis team competed at the 2018 MAC Individual Championships that were held over the weekend.
Sophomore
Noah Jessie advanced to the quarterfinals at the No. 1 singles spot with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Delaware Valley's Zach Harkcom before dropping a straight set decision to Manhattanville's Juan Hertas in the quarters.
At the second singles spot, sophomore
Dylan Okonski dropped a three-set heartbreaker to Jorey Ferraro of DeSales by a 2-6, 6-2, 10-5 count. Freshman
Armando Santana fell in straight sets (6-0, 6-4) to Austin Mackey of King's in No. 3 singles action.
In No. 5 singles action, junior
Zach Schulties fell to DeSales' Nolan Beck, 6-2, 6-4. At the sixth and final singles spot, sophomore
Brody Brown fell to Arcadia's Ryan Stellato by a 6-1, 6-0 count.
At the first doubles spot, the duo of Jessie and Santana dropped an 8-3 decision to Eastern's Karl Finkbeiner/Ryan Hamilton. In No. 2 doubles action, Okonski and Schulties fell 8-4 to Messiah's duo of Alex Mantsevich/Jarod Snader.
