GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Albright Lions women's basketball team (1-3) held Keystone to 17 points in the second half and the Lions notched their first win of the season with a 59-50 victory over the Giants (1-4) in the consolation game of the Gwynedd Mercy Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday afternoon.
Albright held Keystone to 6-of-27 shooting (22.2%) from the floor in the second half en route to the win.

Albright came storming out of the gate in this one and hit a pair of threes in the first three minutes to take an 8-0 lead in the early going, but the Giants scored 23 of the next 29 points and a jumper from Moro gave Keystone a 23-14 lead with 7:19 to go in the second quarter. A free throw from Kitchen made it a 33-25 game with 2:55 left in the half, but Boggs scored eight of the next 10 points during a 10-0 Albright run and the Lions took a 35-33 lead into the locker room.
The third quarter is where the Lions' defense took over as they held Keystone without a field goal over the final 7:03 of the period to stretch the lead to seven at 46-39. The Giants wouldn't go quietly as a 10-0 run capped by a jumper from Kitchen gave them a slim 47-46 lead with 7:43 to play, but Mohamed gathered an offensive rebound and sank a jumper on the other end to give Albright the lead for good at 48-47. The Lions would lead for the remainder of the game, but Moore drew Keystone within three at 53-50 with 2:12 to play before freshman guard
Amina Rauf started a game-ending 6-0 spurt with a jumper.
Albright shot 21-of-61 (34.4%) from the floor and 4-of-16 (25%) from beyond the arc, while Keystone shot at a 31% clip (18-of-58) and was 4-of-20 (20.0%) from deep. Head coach
