FORT PIERCE, Fla. – The Albright baseball team opened its spring break trip with a doubleheader sweep of Gettysburg on Sunday afternoon. The Lions defeated the Bullets, 5-1, in game one before winning, 7-4, in game two. The Lions are now 3-0 for the first time since 2014.
In game one, starting pitcher
Matt Fisher pitched a complete game to earn the victory.
Jeff Yordy hit an RBI double in the top of the seventh inning to give the Lions a 2-1 lead. Albright went on to score three more runs in the inning to round out the scoring.
In game two,
Daron Pijanowski earned the victory while
Logan Adams picked up the save.
Jesse Fikslin and
Jimmie Gentry each doubled for the Lions, leading an offense that saw every hitter in the lineup get a hit.
Albright returns to action on Monday morning against Eastern Nazarene. First pitch is scheduled for 10 a.m.
