CRESSON, Pa. – Mount Aloysius scored a pair of second half goals in a three-minute stretch and the Albright men's soccer team (1-2) dropped their second straight with a 2-0 loss to the Mounties (1-1-1) on Wednesday night.
The Lions have now dropped two straight after opening the season with a 2-1 overtime victory at Immaculata.
The game was scoreless into the 61
st minute when the Mounties' Ludvig Hegdal received a cross from Joshua Devlin and finished at the far post to give the hosts a 1-0 lead. Less than three minutes later, Lachie Back finished a shot from inside the six-yard box to quickly stretch the lead to 2-0.
Mount Aloysius held a 23-7 shot advantage in the contest including a 17-4 edge in shots on target. Sophomore goalie
Brendan Hanratty made a career-high 15 saves in net for the Lions.
Hanratty's previous career-high in saves was five, which had been done on three occasions.
The two teams played to a scoreless draw in the first half and Albright had a few chances in the early going, but were unable to solve Mounties' keeper James Eyre who recorded the shutout with four saves on the night.

The Lions are back in action on Saturday afternoon when they head to Wilson to battle the Phoenix at 1:30 p.m.
