The Devils opened up the first set by winning the first two points before the Lions reeled off seven-straight points to go up 7-2 behind three kills from Bacovin. The Devils were able to close within 9-8 after taking four of the next six points, and eventually tied the first set at 10. Albright struck back by winning five of the next six points to go up 15-11, and extended its lead to 17-13 to force a Devils timeout. FDU-Florham came out strong following the timeout as they cut the Lions lead down to 19-17. The Lions shut down the rally by winning the last six-straight points to take the first set at 25-17 following a kill from junior Paige Westra. The Devils started the second half by winning five of the first six points to go up 5-1 early on. Albright took five of the next seven points to cut the Devil lead down to 7-6, but FDU-Florham came back with five-straight points to go up 11-6. Albright went on a long run of nine-straight points to take a 15-11 lead, and eventually went up 19-13 after an ace from Franklin. However, the Devils stormed back by winning seven-straight points in part of taking 12 of the last 16 points of the second set to even the game at one apiece.

Albright came out strong in the third set as they quickly went up 4-1, but the Devils came right back with three-straight points to tie the game at four. The Lions won five of the next six points to go up 9-5 before the Devils went on the same run to tie the third set at 10. Albright took six of the next seven points to go up 16-11, and maintained the five-point lead out to 19-14. The Lions finished the third set off by taking seven of the last nine points to go up 2-1 following a 25-16 win in set three.
