Women’s Basketball Breaks Records in 110-43 Victory at CCNY

New York, N.Y. – On Saturday afternoon, the Albright women's basketball team earned the largest margin of victory in school history with a 110-43 win at the City College of New York for a six-game winning streak.

The Albright Lions earned their first triple-digit score in head coach Janice Luck's career at Albright and the highest points scored since the 1991-92 season in a 106-47 victory against Eastern University.

Seven members of the Albright women's basketball team hit double-digits in points and every player to step on the floor scored.  Sophomores Dejah Terrell and Gabby Boggs earned double-doubles in the win, as Terrell led the Lions with 18 points and 14 rebounds while adding four assists.  Boggs scored 12 points and pulled down 10 rebounds after going 5-of-8 from the floor and 2-of-3 from the line.

Senior Hailey Dayton tied her career-high with 13 points and led the Lions in assists with six.  Sophomore Amina Rauf scored 12 points while classmate Abby Gaffney had 11 in the win.  First-year Amy Jones and sophomore Maggie O'Hare tallied 10 points, sophomore Emma Blewett added eight, sophomore Brady Wassel had six, and first-year Lindsey Williamson and sophomore Kayana Chisholm scored five points.

First-year Reilly Boehm paced CCNY with 19 points and junior Melanie Torres pulled down six rebounds.

The Lions dominated each quarter to lead 61-19 at the half and added 49 more points in the second half to CCNY's 24.

Albright went 44-of-86 (51%) from the floor, 10-of-24 (41%) from beyond the arc, and 12-of-15 (80%) from the free-throw line.  CCNY shot 28% (17-of-60) from the floor, 28% (4-of-14) from beyond the arc, and 50% (5-of-10) from the line.

The Lions will return home to face Immaculata on Tuesday, Nov. 26 for a 3 p.m. tip-off.
