Jack Shevlin delivered a go-ahead two-run single in the fourth and freshman
Willie Kimmel III allowed just an unearned run over six innings as the Albright Lions baseball team (5-10, 2-4 MACC) topped Lebanon Valley (9-8, 2-4 MACC) in MAC Commonwealth action on Monday afternoon at Kelchner Field.
Shevlin came up with the bases loaded and two outs in the home half of the fourth and poked a two-run single through the left side to give the Lions a 3-1 edge. Senior
Joe Suppa had started the inning with a double, advanced to third on
Logan Adams' infield single and scored on a throwing error charged to Dutchmen 2B Chris DeClerico to tie the game at one apiece. Freshman
Jeremy Brubaker followed Adams with a single of his own and
Josh Jacavage drew a walk to set the stage for Shevlin.
Kimmel III (1-1) gave up just the one unearned run on four hits while walking one and fanning five over a season-high six innings of work. LHP

Logan Adams (1.0 IP, K) combined to close things out for Albright as Adams notched his third save of the year.
Jake Williams (1-1) was dealt the loss for LVC after allowing three runs on five hits to go along with a walk and four strikeouts in 4.0 IP.
The Dutchmen took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth when T.J. Holdredge singled to right, advanced to second and third on a pair of groundouts and scored on an error charged to Brubaker at third.
Shevlin (2-3, 2 RBI) had a multi-hit game for the Lions, while Adams, Brubaker and Suppa all added a hit and a run scored.
Albright hosts Arcadia in the opener of a three-game set on Friday afternoon at Kelchner Field. First pitch is set for 3:30 p.m.
