READING, Pa. – Arcadia used a five-run third inning to take control of the game and the Albright Lions baseball team (5-11, 2-5 MACC) dropped a 9-1 decision to the Knights (12-6, 6-1 MACC) on Friday afternoon at Kelchner Field in Reading.
In the afore-mentioned five-run third, Ryan Bealer delivered the big blow with a two-out, two-run single while Dylan Towey added an RBI single for Arcadia.

Will Tokarski (1-3) was dealt the loss for the Lions after allowing six runs on 10 hits to go along with two walks and three strikeouts over six innings of work. Jeremy Sabathne (4-1) surrendered one run on four hits in 8.0 IP and earned the win for the Knights.
Arcadia opened the scoring with a two-out RBI single from Phil Pierfy in the top of the first and led 6-0 after the five-run third. The Lions battled back with a run in the home half of the fifth as freshman
Lew Meringo reached with a one-out double, advanced to third on a groundout and scored on
Jimmie Gentry's RBI double to cut the lead to 6-1. Gentry has now hit safely in seven of his last eight games. Pierfy added an RBI double in the eighth for the Knights to stretch the lead to 9-1.

Dan Stofko allowed just an unearned run and fanned three over two innings of work.
The two teams will wrap up the three-game set with a doubleheader tomorrow afternoon at Arcadia. First pitch of game one is set for 12 p.m.
