READING, Pa. – Goals from junior Lauren Haley and sophomore Diza Hasanaj as well as a career-high number of saves from sophomore goalkeeper Olivia Donkus lifted the Albright women's soccer team over FDU-Florham on Wednesday afternoon at Shirk Stadium.

The victory will improve the Lions' record to 6-3 and the Devils take their first loss of the season, falling to 8-1-1.

The first shot of the game came eight minutes into the contest from FDU-Florham, as possession remained in the middle third of the field.  Haley got the Lions on the board in the 29th minute, beating a defender and netting a near-post goal off a perfectly placed ball over the top from junior Amanda Fulcher.  Albright led 1-0 at the half, but trailed FDU-Florham in shots 13-4.

In the 56th minute of the game, Haley drew a foul in the Devil's box for a penalty kick.  Sophomore Diza Hasanaj was able to convert for a 2-0 Lions' lead.

FDU-Florham got on the board in the 80th minute with a goal from junior Tatiana Nieto off a free kick outside of the box, making the score 2-1.

In the last 15 minutes of regulation, junior defender Maggie Jones added a shot off a corner kick and later sophomore Caitlin Costigliola recovered to the other end of the field to block a shot, keeping the Lions ahead and sealing the win.

FDU-Florham held a solid 26-6 advantage in shots and a 13-4 edge in shots on goal.  Hasanaj led the Lions with two shots on goal, while Devils' Nieto registered eight shots and five on goal.
