ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Albright women's soccer team fell 4-1 in their conference opener at Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon.
With the loss, the Lions open up MAC Commonwealth action 0-1 and 5-4-2 overall. Meanwhile, the Dutchmen open up conference play 1-0 and 3-5-1 overall.
Albright took the lead early in the game when senior

Diza Hasanaj off a corner in the sixth minute. Unfortunately for the Lions, this would be their only goal of the game. The Dutchmen controlled the remainder of the half by not allowing the Lions another scoring opportunity. Lebanon Valley finally got on the board in the 42
nd minute off of a penalty shot following an Albright foul inside the box. The game remained tied at one entering the second half.
Lebanon Valley found the back of the net in the 50
th minute to take the 2-1 lead over Albright. Shortly after the Dutchmen found the back of the net again in the 54
th minute to take the two-goal lead. Senior defender
Jada Britton had the lone opportunity for the Lions of the second half that resulted in a wide shot in the 61
st minute. Lebanon Valley scored their final goal of the game in the 69
th minute to solidify the 4-1 win over Albright.
The Dutchmen held a sizable 25-3 shot advantage and a 15-1 shot on goal advantage over the Lions. First-year goalkeeper
McKenna LeVan receives the loss for Albright despite making nine saves in 76:48 minutes of action. Sophomore goalkeeper Jocelyn Umana earns the win for Lebanon Valley without having to make a single save in the full amount of action.
Albright will continue conference action Wednesday at 7 p.m. as they host Messiah at Shirk Stadium.
