WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Albright men's and women's swimming teams wrapped up a weekend of racing at the Diamond City Invitational on Sunday.
The women earned seventh place for the Lions with 487 total team points, while the men finished in eighth out of ten total teams with 437 points.
Two Lions placed within the top ten of the men's 200 backstroke as senior
Joseph Guiliano earned a seventh-place finish posting a time of 2:12.59. Sophomore
Anthony Laite followed in ninth place with a time of 2:13.84.

Laurel Gingrich swam a 56.55 in the women's 100 freestyle event to place fifth.
Senior
Rachel Nye placed sixth in the women's 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:50.40. On the men's side, junior
Drew MacDonald placed ninth in the event with a time of 2:28.64.
Three Lions finished within the top five of the women's 200 butterfly event. First-year
Camille Griffith led the way posting a personal best 2:30.41 to place second. Junior
Megan Misurelli also swam a personal best 2:32.16 to place third. Sophomore
Morgan Stuhltrager rounded out the Lions in fourth place with a time of 2:32.23.
The 400 freestyle relay of

Camille Griffith, and
Rachel Nye earned seventh place with a time of 3:58.76. The men's 400 freestyle relay consisting of

Peter Vanderwerf,
Nicholas Griffith, and
Anthony Laite placed eighth with a time of 3:30.87.
Both Albright men's and women's swimming teams will return to action on Saturday, Jan. 8 as they take on Lebanon Valley in dual meet action at 1 p.m.
