SCHUYLKILL HAVEN, Pa. – The Albright Lions women's volleyball team defeated Penn State Schuylkill in straight sets (25-7, 25-18, 25-16) on Thursday night in non-conference action.
With the win, the Lions bounce back and improve to 3-1 overall on the season. Meanwhile, the Nittany Lions fall to 2-2 on the season.

Brooke Franklin led the Lions with a career-high 11 kills and a strong .500 hitting percentage. Franklin also added three assists, three digs, and two blocks in the win. First-year
Sophie Hampton matched her season-high with 10 kills and posted three digs, while senior
Damaris Gomez tallied five kills and four digs.

Kaitlyn Chell led the Lions with 25 digs and first-year
Paola Mejias added 23 digs while pacing the offense with 21 assists. Sophomore
Stephanie Zolynski recorded a game-high four service aces and added five digs.
Albright will return to action on Monday, September 20th as they will travel to face Penn State Berks at 6 p.m.
