READING, Pa. – The Albright men's soccer team suffered a 3-2 loss to Lancaster Bible Wednesday evening at Shirk Stadium.
The Lions fall to 0-2 overall while the Chargers advance to 2-1.
Lancaster Bible scored the lone goal of the first half in the fifth minute. The Chargers kept the Lions scoreless in the first half to hold onto a 1-0 lead heading into the second stanza.
The Chargers began to build their lead with goals in the 49
th and 54
th minutes. First-year
Joseph Loose finally got the Lions on the board with his first career goal in the 56
th minute. Senior Alex Macdonald scored off a penalty kick late in the 88
th minute to get Albright within one; however, they were unable to get another shot off as Lancaster Bible claimed the 3-2 win.
Lancaster Bible held a slight 14-12 shot advantage over Albright. The Chargers landed nine shots on goal while Albright connected seven. The corner kicks were 5-3 in favor of Lancaster Bible. Sophomore goalkeeper

Albright returns to Shirk Stadium Saturday as they take on Penn State Berks at 4:30 p.m.
