READING, PA - The Albright Lions fell to Alvernia on Tuesday night by a score of 3-0. The loss drops the Lions to 1-9-2 overall, and 0-4 in conference play, while Alvernia improves to 8-2-4 and 2-1-1.
The Golden Wolves go on the board early, scoring in the ninth minute on a Connor Kraycik goal. They would double their goal just seven minutes later on a Nate Stoitzgus goal. This would give them a 2-0 lead, one that they would hold heading into halftime.
Things were quiet for most of the second half, until Alvernia found the back of the net again in the 84th minute. This gave them the 3-0 lead that they would end the game with.
The Golden Wolves outshot the Lions 19-9, and had an advantage in corner kicks of 11-2. The Lions had four shots on goal, one each from
Martin Ramsay,
Curren Shesniak,
Luke Fanning, and
Myles Mitchell.
Cooper Walters started in net, and made two saves in the first half.
Chris Denholm played the second half, and made three saves.
