READING, Pa. - The Albright men's basketball team (5-7, 2-2 MAC Commonwealth) was in action on Friday afternoon and squared off against Hamilton (8-4) in Albright's second game of the DoubleTree Holiday Tournament. Hamilton was able to control Albright on their way to a 79-63 victory over the Lions.
Each team traded buckets in the early going of the game. Neither team was able to stretch their lead past a couple points through the first four minutes of play.
Hamilton was stingy on defense and made eight three pointers in the half giving Hamilton a 46-25 lead at halftime.
In the second half the Continentals made life hard on Albright once again forcing them into unfavorable looks on offense. Albright did everything they could to climb back into the game but Hamilton proved to be too much in the end earned the victory.
Scoring in double figures for Albright was Jeremiah Stanton (14), Jordan Guerrero (13) and Chris Kouemi (10).
In addition to the 13 points Guerrero added eight rebounds, three blocks and four steals.
Salisbury (MD) was crowned DoubleTree Holiday Tournament Champions after defeating Washington & Jefferson, 79-63 in the Championship game.
