OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Albright men's basketball team was unable to outlast Stevenson on the road as they dropped their final regular season matchup 91-88 in overtime on Saturday.
With the loss, the Lions enter postseason action as the seventh seed with a 6-10 conference record and 10-14 overall. Meanwhile, Stevenson earns the fifth seed in the MAC Commonwealth tournament with a 7-9 conference record and 11-11 overall.

Sidney Brown posted a game-high 25 points behind 8-for-15 shooting from the floor and 4-for-9 from beyond the arc. Junior
Jordan Guerrero tallied a double-double wit 16 points on 3-for-12 shooting from the field and 10-for-13 from the charity stripe, a game-high 11 rebounds, five steals, and three assists. Junior
Robert Mangum totaled 17 points on 5-for-8 shooting from the floor, five rebounds, and three assists.
Albright got off to a slow start as Stevenson opened up the game with a 13-4 advantage to take an early lead. Guerrero jump started an 11-2 run for the Lions capped off with back-to-back threes from Brown to tie the game up at 15 at the 7:34-mark. Both teams struggled to score over the next three minutes as Stevenson held just a 20-17 advantage at the 4:18-mark. Albright then used a 7-2 run capped off with a basket from Mangum to give Albright their first lead since the opening possession. The Mustangs tied the game up at 24 with a jumper, but an and-one from Guerrero put the Lions back in front. Stevenson netted the final basket of the half to cut to make it a one-point game at 27-26 entering the half.
Stevenson came out of the half on a 10-4 run to take a 36-31 lead at the 16:14-mark. The Lions stayed within reach, however, using a 6-2 run fueled by sophomore
Dylan McGinley to get within one. The two teams traded baskets, but first-year
Eric Chamberlain finally put Albright back in front with a pair of free throws followed by a basket from sophomore
Chris Kouemi to give the Lions a 48-45 lead at the 11:39-mark. The Mustangs jumped ahead with a 6-1 run, but Brown knocked down a three that gave the Lions a 52-51 lead. The two teams went on an even 6-6 run as Albright held onto their lead. The two teams continued to trade baskets as Stevenson finally took back the lead at 66-64 with 3:26 left in regulation. The Mustangs held onto a four-point lead, but Mangum knocked down two big shots in the final minute of action to send the game into extra frames.
Stevenson jumped ahead with an 8-1 run in the overtime session to take an 82-75 lead. Albright didn't let up, however, as they responded with a 7-2 run to get within two of the Mustangs. Stevenson earned a trip to the free throw line to extend their lead to four, but a big three pointer from junior
Zyon Grant with 14 seconds left cut the Lions deficit to 86-85. The teams traded free throws to close out the game but Albright was never able to take back the lead as the Mustangs earned the 91-88 victory.
Albright shot 25-for-61 (41.0%) from the field, 7-for-23 (30.4%) from three-point range, and 31-for-45 (68.9%) from the charity stripe. The Lions totaled 34 points in the paint, 23 points off turnovers, and 38 points off the bench. Meanwhile, Stevenson shot 29-for-67 (43.3%) from the floor, 6-for-19 (31.6%) from beyond the arc, and 27-for-37 (73.0%) from the free-throw line. The Mustangs converted 33 points off turnovers, saw 40 points off their bench, and tallied 38 points in the paint. Stevenson held a slight 42-40 rebound advantage.
Albright is set to travel to the No. 2 seed Hood on Wednesday for the quarterfinal round of the MAC Commonwealth tournament.
