BRYN MAWR, Pa. – The Albright men's lacrosse team picked up a dominant 22-8 road win at Rosemont on Sunday evening.
With the win, the Lions improve to 3-3 overall. Meanwhile, the Ravens fall to 2-4.
It was a total team effort as the Lions saw ten different goal scorers on the evening. First-year
Jack Burke led the way with six points behind four goals and two assists. Senior
Cole Genneken totaled five points behind three goals and two assists. Junior
Jay Shifflet also added a hat-trick with three goals and one assist for four points. Senior
Alex McKendry added four points behind two goals and two assists.

Shane Early got the Lions rolling early with a goal just 1:04 into action to take the early lead. Shifflet found the back of the net shortly after at the 12:18-mark off a feed from McKendry to put Albright ahead two. Rosemont responded at the 11:24-mark with a goal to put the Ravens on the board. The two teams traded goals as the Ravens kept within reach, but the Lions closed out the opening frame with two unanswered goals from Shifflet and Genneken to take a 6-3 lead.

Jon Alvarez posting back-to-back goals, extending the Lions lead to 8-3 at the 13:16-mark. The Ravens snapped the run at the 11:46-mark to cut their deficit to four, but the Lions responded with three unanswered goals capped by senior
Terrell Ringgold to grasp an 11-4 advantage entering the break.
Alvarez opened up the second half with a goal at the 8:00-mark, extending the Lions lead to 12-4. The teams traded two goals apiece, but Albright notched back-to-back goals from McKendry and Burks to close out the third with a commanding 16-6 lead.
The Ravens found the back of the net at the 12:53-mark to open the final stanza, but the Lions answered with three-straight jumpstarted by first-year
Jake Lettieri's first collegiate goal to increase their lead to 19-7. Rosemont added one more goal at the 8:03-mark, but Albright closed out the game strong with three-straight scores to solidify their 22-8 victory.
Albright took a season-high 73 shots to Rosemont's 46 shots. The Lions also won the battle for faceoffs 17-11 as senior
Noah Marchiafava went 10-for-16 in the circle. First-year goalkeeper
Ethan Hendershott earns his first collegiate win for the Lions with a big 17 saves in 60 minutes of action. Mark Porter receives the loss for the Ravens despite completing 24 saves in the full amount of action.
Albright will return to action on Wednesday at 4 p.m. as they travel to Immaculata for non-conference action.
