Women's Golf Wins First Event in Seven Years

Dallas, PA - The Albright Lions women's golf team came out on top of their tri-match against Arcadia and Misericordia on Saturday.  The win is the Lady Lions' first event victory since October 2015.

The story of the day was the play by First Year, Callie Cooper. The Hutchinson, Kansas native shot a personal best 90 at the very difficult Irem Country Club Course. Her round was the best of the day for anyone by five shots, and was one of only three players to break 100.

Maddison Wagner shot a 101, Braidan Wastler a 104, and Leyna Warner a 109.

The Lions played their best golf of the day when it mattered most, as they each knocked down clutch putts over the last five holes.

Up Next - The Lions will next play at the Alvernia University Fall Invitational on tuesday, September 27th.
