READING, Pa. - The men's and women's indoor track and field teams were both in action today for the first time in the 2023 calendar year and performed well in the Alvernia Winter Invite.
The Lions turned in personal bests from four different student athletes across multiple events throughout the day. In all, there were nine different institutions competing in todays Alvernia Winter Invite.
FULL MEET RESULTS
Maggie Williams represented Albright in the finals of the shot put and turned in a personal best throw. Williams' throw went 29 feet and three inches good for sixth at the Invite.
Beyah Rembert ran a personal best in the 60 and 200 meter dash. Rembert finished the 60 meter dash in 7.47 seconds and turned in a time of 25.00 seconds in the 200 meter dash rounding out the first year student athletes day.
Taisha Charles and Ambar Duran Tavarez both earned personal bests in the 60 meter dash. Charles finished the dash in 8.58 seconds while Duran turned in a respectable time of 10.23 seconds.

Both men's and women's teams will next be in action next weekend at Franklin & Marshall College competing in the Coach I Invitational. The meet will begin at 10 a.m.
