LANCASTER, Pa. - The men's and women's indoor track and field teams had a strong showing at the Coach I Invitational this afternoon achieving three new MAC qualifying times, five personal bests and eight podium finishers.
Dante Zamichieli placed third in the mile with a time of 4:38.63. The mile time for Zamichieli earns him a MAC qualifying mark.
Omar Sesay achieved a third place finish and a MAC qualifying mark in the long jump reaching a distance of 5.87 meters.
Chris Jusino rounded out the MAC qualifiers for the Lions today in the weight throw with a toss of 40 feet and seven inches. Jusino also earned a personal best in the shot put placing 2nd with a throw of 40 feet six inches.
Beyah Rembert placed 7th in the 60 meter dash (7.56), Eren Tighe placed 4th in the 60 meter hurdles (11.53), Taisha Charles finished 8th in the 60 meter dash (8.65) and Michael O'Hanlon rounded out the day earning a personal best and finishing in 7th place for the shot put with a throw of 36 feet nine inches.
Ambar Duran Tavarez earned a personal best in the 60 meter dash (9.98), Christian Cortes (2:37.61) and Katelyn Schweitzer (2:54.12) both earned personal best in the 800 meter race, Leah Brown ran her best race in the mile with a time of 6:37.74, and Maggie Williams threw a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 30 feet 2 inches.

Both men's and women's teams will next be right back in action at Franklin & Marshall College next weekend competing in the Mini-Dip Invitational. The meet will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, January, 27.
