READING, Pa. - The Albright women's volleyball team (13-7) went on the road on Monday (Oct. 16) evening squaring off against Penn State Berks (5-11). The Nittany Lions protected home court winning 3-0 over the Lions.
Tonight's match was the first match since October 10 for Albright.
The first set was tightly contested until Penn State Berks was able to pull away late.
Neve Straff led the Lions in the first set with three kills trying to spark the Albright attack.
The second and third sets went to Penn State Berks who featured a good offensive showing throughout the match.
Straff paced the Lions with nine kills and was followed by
Rachel Etim and
Sophie Hampton who each recorded five kills.
Paola Mejias finished with 15 assists and 10 digs.
Lindsey Korn was strong defensively recording 17 digs.

The women's volleyball team will head to York College (Pa.) on Wednesday, October 18 for the fifth game on the MAC Commonwealth schedule. The conference match is set for a 7 p.m. start.
