READING, Pa. - The Albright women's soccer team (4-9-2, 0-3-1 MAC Commonwealth) was in action this evening and dropped a conference matchup to Alvernia (2-11-2, 1-2-1 MAC Commonwealth) by a final score of 2-0.
The first half came and went with neither side able to get much going on their respective offensive ends. After 45 minutes of play, the game remained scoreless.
Nyla Callahan and
Gianna Glembocki both recorded first half shots for the Lions. The Albright defense held the Golden Wolves to only one shot in the first half.
The Golden Wolves came out of halftime and took a 1-0 lead in the 51st minute. Alvernia doubled their lead with 10 minutes to go. The two second half goals proved to be the difference in tonight's game.
Callahan finished the game with three shots for the Lions, placing two of them on goal. Callahan did well to get behind the Alvernia backline but was unable to beat the Golden Wolves goalkeeper.
Audrey Solt rounded out the shots for Albright taking two of them in tonight's game.
Despite tonight's loss,
McKenna LeVan was credited with four saves.
