CHESTER, Pa. - The Albright men's soccer team (8-5-3, 0-4-1 MAC Commonwealth) played on the road on Saturday (Oct. 21) afternoon squaring off against Widener University (12-2-1, 3-1-1 MAC Commonwealth). The Pride from Widener topped the Lions winning the game 4-0.
After the first 45 minutes of play, the game remained scoreless.
John Villano looked to spark the Lions attack in the first half recording two first half shots.
Vincent Simmons looked to put the Lions up just before halftime but his shot was turned away by the Widener goalkeeper.
The Pride broke through in the second half scoring four goals in a span of 19 minutes. The four goals would see Widener to victory over the Lions by a final score of 4-0.
Villano finished the game with two shots while Simmons,
Daniel Lowman and
Nathan Leisure all added one shot for the Lions.

The Albright men's soccer team will remain on the road heading to York College (Pa.) for a MAC Commonwealth clash with the Spartans. The game is set for a 7 p.m. taking place on Tuesday, October 24.
