YORK Pa. - The Albright men's soccer team (8-6-3, 0-5-1 MAC Commonwealth) played on the road for the final time in 2023 on Tuesday (Oct. 24) evening squaring off against York College (Pa.) (6-6-3, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth). The Spartans of York College (Pa.) took tonight's game over Albright by a final score of 2-0.

It was a 0-0 contest for the majority of the first half but the Spartans got on the board in the 40th minute taking a 1-0 lead into halftime.

Cooper Walters earned the start in goal tonight and put together a strong first half. Walters made eight first half saves keeping the Lions in the game heading into halftime. The eight first half saves marked a new career high for Walters in a game.

The second half played similarly to the first half seeing the Spartans earn a 2-0 win over the Lions scoring on another late half goal.

Walters finished the game with 14 saves in an impressive performance despite the loss. The 14 saves are the second most by any MAC Commonwealth goalkeeper this season.

Martin Ramsay and Noah Raimonde were each credited with a shot in tonight's game.

The Albright men's soccer team will return home for their final game of the season on Saturday (Oct. 28) hosting Eastern. Saturday's game will also serve as Senior Day for the Lions. the game is set to begin at 7 p.m. with Senior Day festivities occurring before the game.
