Men’s Swimming Hosts Widener University in Home Opener

The Albright men’s swimming team hosted Widener University this afternoon competing in the Lions home pool for the first time this season.

READING, Pa.- The Albright men's swimming team returned to the John Scholl LifeSports Center on Saturday (Oct. 21) hosting Widener University in their first home meet of the season. Anthony Laite and Brenden Stuhltrager were in action today for Albright. 

FULL MEET RESULTS 

Anthony Laite won the 1000-yard freestyle by fifty seconds, recording a time of 10:30.15. Laite also bested the field in the 500-yard freestyle with a finals time of 5:05.56. Laite's last event of the day was in the 100-yard freestyle turing in a time of 48.62

Brenden Stuhltrager competed in three different events on the day and took home first in all three. Stuhltrager won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.25. Stuhltrager would later go on to top his events in 100-yard fly with a time of 51.19 and in the 100-yard free recording a finals time of 48.62. 

Up Next:
The men's swimming team will have a couple weeks off before returning to the John Scholl LifeSports Center for a matchup against Hood College. The meet is set for a 1 p.m. start.
