READING, Pa. – The Albright men's golf team enjoyed a historic day on the golf course this afternoon, winning the Yocum Cup for the first time since 2018 over Alvernia. Todays six matches of singles play was played at Berkshire Country Club. The Albright Lions won the Yocum Cup 7 ½ to 1 ½.

Coach Lamm on today's monumental win for the Albright golf program, "It was so great to see these players come together and play for Albright College and their team! It was also great to see their teammates who were not playing, show their support, by following & rooting for their teammates at the Berkshire Country Club. Very proud of the Caliber of play from all six members of our Yocum Cup Team! They never quit and were determined to play their best on each and every shot, hole and match!"
 
The Albright College Lions men's golf team enjoyed a day on the course they will never forget on a beautiful afternoon. The team of Ben Egin, Chris DiRita, Sam Elsen, Jonatan Liljeblad, Evan Twyman and Charles Bailey achieved a feat that has not been done for five years, winning the Yocum Cup and bringing the coveted trophy back home.

The Albright Lions golf team achieved their largest margin of victory winning 7 ½ to 1 ½ over the Golden Wolves. The Yocum Cup has been played every year since 2006 and in 2023, Albright left no doubt as to who was the better team.

Albright swept the three fourball matches yesterday afternoon to set the tone heading into day two. The Lions came into today in such great form and continued their string of impressive play throughout the '23 fall season. A total of four singles matches were won by Albright today to win the coveted Yocum Cup.
