WESTMINSTER, Md. – The Albright men's tennis team concluded their fall season in style on Sunday afternoon picking up a dominating 9-0 win over McDaniel (2-2). Today's match was originally scheduled for September 9 but was postponed to today (Oct. 8) due to inclement weather.
In singles play this afternoon,
Adam Good and
Clay Lewandowski led the way for the Lions cruising to singles wins. Good and Lewandowski each won their respective matches 6-1, 6-0.
Fox Bryan and
Sean Peppiatt both went to a third set but persevered in the end to keep the sweep alive for the Lions. Bryan dropped the first set 4-6 but roared all the way back taking the second set 6-3 and the third set tiebreak 10-7. Peppiatt won the first set of his match 6-3 and dropped set two 5-7. It came down to the third set tiebreak and Peppiatt would not be denied taking the third set and the match 10-8.
Dylan Huha and
Kobe Serpa were featured in singles play and both won handily clinching the undefeated day in singles play for Albright.
In doubles play, the Lions finished off the Green Terror outscoring McDaniel 24-6 across the three doubles matches.
