READING, Pa. – The Albright volleyball team (16-10, 0-7 MAC Commonwealth) concluded their season on Wednesday (Nov.1) evening hosting Widener University (16-10, 3-4 MAC Commonwealth). The Pride took tonight's match over the Lions by a final score of 3-0.

Despite tonight's loss, the volleyball team made great strides this season. Albright won 16 games overall for the first time since the 2003 team won a program record 18 games. The Lions total of 16 games won are tied for the second most wins in a season in program history.
Sophie Hampton claimed the first MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Week honor this season marking the first Player of the Week honor for Albright since 2019.

The Pride from Widener jumped on the Lions early in the first two sets to take a commanding 2-0 sets lead in the match.
In the third set, Albright fought hard but were unable to slow down the Pride offense seeing Widener win the third set to take the match over the Lions.
Sophie Hampton had it going in tonight's match finishing with a game high 12 kills. Hampton finished with 225 kills this season, placing her among the top of the MAC Commonwealth statistical leaderboard in kills.
Lindsey Korn was strong defensively for the Lions recording a team high 17 digs in the match.
Isabella Garay tallied six digs tonight and was followed by
Ryenn Mamrosch and
Kyra Lycett who each recorded five digs.
Mamrosch was also credited with 15 assists and two service aces this evening.

Elon Ruley-Donadelle all recorded one solo block during tonight's match against the Pride.
