Men’s Swimming Hosts Hood College on Saturday Afternoon

The Albright men’s swimming team returned to the pool this afternoon for the first time since October 21.

READING, Pa. – The Albright men's swimming team returned to the pool on Saturday afternoon (Nov. 11) hosting the Blazers from Hood College. Hood won today's meet over Albright 115-36.

Prior to today's meet, Anthony Laite was honored as the lone graduate student on the Albright men's swimming team.

Brenden Stuhltrager showed no signs of rust as he took first in both the 50-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly.

Stuhltrager raced by the coemption to win the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.83. In the 100-yard butterfly Stuhltrager was even better. Stuhltrager finished the race in 51.79 beating the seven-person heat by just under five seconds.

Anthony Laite was in action today and matched Stuhltrager with two wins of his own in the 200 and 500-yard freestyles.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Laite cruised to a first-place finish with a time of 1:52.44. In the 500-yard freestyle Laite dominated the two-man heat racing to the finish in a time of 5:03.78.

The Lions men's swimming team will return to the pool in less than a week's time heading to the York College Invitational. The Invitational is a three-day event beginning this Friday, November 17 at 1 p.m.
