YORK, Pa. - The Albright college men's swimming team wrapped up their 2023 MAC Championships on Sunday night.
Prior to todays meet the Senior members of each team were recognized for all their hard work and dedication. The senior members of the Albright college men's swimming team are Matthew Czubachowski, Peter Vanderwerf, Anthony Laite and Drew MacDonald.
Drew Macdonald was in action on Sunday night in the 200-yard breaststroke. MacDonald took home 10th in the finals turning a formidable time of 2:13.46.
The relay team of Matthew Czubachowski, Peter Vanderwerf, Anthony Laite and Drew MacDonald claimed 10th in the 400-yard freestyle. The four swimmers combined to finish the relay in 3:23.74.
The quartet of Matthew Czubachowski, Peter Vanderwerf, Anthony Laite and Drew MacDonald were in action in the 800 freestyle relay and took home sixth place.The team finished the race in 7:21.73 darting through the pool. In the finals, the four swimmers improved on their seed time by nearly nine seconds on Saturday night.
The sixth place finish for the relay team comes on the heels of individual podium finishes on day one and two of the MAC Championships.
Vanderwerf placed sixth in the 500-freestyle with a time of 4:50.06 on Thursday night.
Anthony Laite earned a sixth place finish in the 200-freestyle with a dazzling time of 1:47.13 on Friday night.
