READING, Pa. - The Albright College women's basketball team ended the regular season as the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth two seed and will host the semifinal round against cross town rival Alvernia on Wednesday, February, 22 beginning at 7 p.m.
Tickets: The MAC mandates the prices for tickets are as follows: Adults - $6; Senior Citizens - $4; Students (valid ID) & Children $2; Pre-School (under 6) with adult - Free. Albright students enter free with ID, courtesy of The Division of Student and Campus life.

4/5 Play-In (Feb. 20): No. 5 Widener at No. 4 Lebanon Valley, 6 p.m.
Semifinal 1 (Feb. 22): Winner of 4/5 Play-In at No. 1 Messiah, 7 p.m.
Semifinal 2 (Feb. 22): No. 3 Alvernia at No. 2 Albright, 7 p.m.
Final (Feb. 25): Winner of Semifinal 1 vs. Winner of Seminal 2*

The Albright college women's basketball team is set to host their first MAC Commonwealth semifinal game since the 2017-18 season when the Lions defeated Widener 56-45. Albright finished as the conference's two seed this season with a 12-4 conference mark. The Lions have lost only one home game all season going 10-1 in 11 home games with their only home loss coming back in December.
The Lions have won their last five games and 10 of their last 11 overall, going into play on Wednesday. Albright split its two matchups with Alvernia this season losing on the road in December and winning at home in February. This is the first time the two schools have met in the playoffs both as members of the MAC Commonwealth.
Albright is the only team in the MAC Commonwealth this season to feature three players that average at least 12.0 points per game.
Gabby Boggs averages 14.5,
Mackenzie Dover 12.9 and
Amina Rauf 12.6.
As for Boggs, she is the only player in the MAC Commonwealth this season to finish inside the top five in scoring (14.5), rebounding (11.0), assists (3.1), blocks (1.9) and steals (1.8) on a per game basis. In addition, Boggs is the only player in the MAC Commonwealth or Freedom divisions to average a double-double for the entirety of the season.
The Alvernia Golden Wolves won their last two games of the regular season to secure the third seed in the MAC Commonwealth Playoffs with a 11-5 conference record. Alvernia ended the regular season averaging the most points per game in the Commonwealth with 63.2. Alvernia's Jordan Karmonick leads the MAC Commonwealth in three point shooting sitting at .396 and makes the most threes per game averaging 2.5.
Albright In The Playoffs: The Lions have qualified for the MAC Commonwealth playoffs eight of the last nine years excluding the shortened 2021 season due to COVID-19. A season ago Albright won a thrilling game over Stevenson, 66-65 in the first round of MAC Commonwealth playoffs.
For head coach Janice luck, the 2023 MAC Commonwealth tournament marks her 11th appearance in MAC playoffs in her 20th season at the helm of Albrigth women's basketball. Luck's overall record stands at 286-234.
The winner of Wednesday's game will punch their ticket to the 2023 MAC Commonwealth women's basketball Championship on Saturday (Feb. 25) at a site and against a team to be determined.
