READING, PA. – The Albright College men's and women's indoor track and field teams wrapped up the 2022-23 indoor track and field season competing throughout the day today on day two of the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships.
COMPLETE MAC CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
Women's Results:
Alyssa Devita qualified for the MAC Championships in the 400-meter race in her first year competing at the collegiate level. Devita turned in a personal best time today in the 400-meter race crossing the finish line in 1:04.26 placing 14th overall at the Championships.
The women's relay team of Devita, Eren Tighe, Leah Brown and Katelyn Schweitzer was in action in the 4 x 800 relay and finished the race in 10:59.65 ahead of relay teams from Hood College and Delaware Valley.
Devita, Tighe, Schweitzer and Tashia Charles competed in the 4 x 400 relay competing in their first MAC Championships as a relay team turning in a solid time of 4:39.27.
Men's Results:
Dante Zamichieli qualified for the MAC Championships in the Mile Run this season at the Coach I Invitational. Today during the MAC race Zamichieli turned in a respectable time of 4:49.28. Zamichieli also competed in the 800-meter race finishing in 2:15.20 wrapping up his indoor season.
In the 200-meter race Gregory Hammond raced around the track crossing the line in 23.52. The time for Hammond was a personal best during the indoor season.
The relay team of Elijah Newsome, Sidney Walker, Michael Maley and Hammond took 11th in the 4 x 400 relay, turning in a time of 3:43.49. The Lions beat out relay teams from DeSales, Misericordia, FDU-Florham and Arcadia.
Christian Jusino was in the shot put this evening and threw a mark of 39' 6 ½ on his first throw in the competition.

The team will now set their sights on the 2023 outdoor track and field season looking to build off a strong indoor campaign.
