IMMACULATA, Pa. - The Albright men's lacrosse team (2-6) was edged out by the hosts Immaculata (4-2) in today's non conference thriller. The Mighty Macs won by a final score of 12-11.
The Lions were ahead after 15 minutes of play leading the Mighty Macs 4-3. Lucas Roselli put together a first half hat trick for the Lions scoring three goals in eight and a half minutes of game time. Jack Burke found the back of the net as well in the first period for the Lions.
Albright took a 6-5 lead into halftime after doing a great job of slowing down the Immaculata attack in the first half. It was more of the same for Roselli scoring his fourth of the game in the second period in a man down situation. Jay Shifflet recorded the other tally for the Lions in the period.
Immaculata tied the game up at 8-8 heading into the fourth period. In the third period, Justin Moroney registered a goal and Shifflet tallied his second of the game.
Immaculata scored four times in the fourth period to narrowly edge out the Lions on their home field. Roselli scored two more times in the final 15 minutes bringing his game total to six goals scored for Albright. Nick Antonio was also credited with a goal in the final frame.
In addition to the scoring, Roselli put together a career high scooping up eight ground balls. Peter Alessi also set a new personal career high in ground balls recording seven of his own today.

Albright will now be off until next weekend when they travel to Marywood University on Saturday, March 25. First faceoff is set for a 12 p.m. afternoon start.
