SCRANTON, Pa. - The Albright men's lacrosse team (2-7) returned to action playing in their first game in 10 days squaring off against Marywood (4-4) on Saturday afternoon and fell to the hosts 14-7.
Today's game was the last of the non-conference slate for the Lions as the men's lacrosse team will start MAC Commonwealth play next Wednesday (Mar. 29).
After the opening 15 minutes the Lions and Pacers were tied at two goals a piece. Lucas Roselli tallied Albright's first goal off an assist from Ryan Houghtaling.
Less than a minute later Houghtaling scored his fifth goal of the season. Jack Burke was credited with the helper on the Houghtaling goal.
Marywood found their stride in the second period scoring six goals and jumping out to a 8-2 halftime lead.
In the third period Connor Brumbaugh scored his first career goal in an Albright uniform. Brumbaugh received a feed from Burke and did the rest, depositing the ball in the back of the net. Jay Shifflet and Burke were also credited with goals in the third period.
The Pacers were able to close out the Lions in the fourth period scoring three times in the final frame to win the game 14-7.
Burke finished with two goals and a game high four assists. Shifflet scored twice while Roselli, Houghtaling and Brumbaugh each scored once.

Albright will begin MAC Commonwealth play this Wednesday, March 29 against Eastern at home. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start.
