Baseball Opens Weekend Series Against Lebanon Valley at Home

The Albright College baseball opened their three game weekend series with Lebanon Valley today at home dropping a single nine inning game to the Dutchmen 15-7.

READING, PA.  - The Albright College baseball team (3-16, 1-10 MAC Commonwealth) opened their weekend series with Lebanon Valley College (11-10-1, 7-1 MAC Commonwealth) at home this afternoon and dropped the first of three games between the two schools, 15-7.

Nine runs came across the plate by the end of the third inning as both teams were putting good at bat after good at bat together. Lebanon Valley led 5-4 after three innings of play.

Albright scored four runs in the first inning off three straight hits. Zander Tesoriere started with a double, John O'Connor hit an infield single and Roman Berretta doubled down the left field line.

Nick Barton followed and roped a double to left field for two RBI's scoring Berretta and O'Connor on the play. Barton advanced to third on a passed ball and scored on a balk. Tommy Lewman capped off the four run first with an RBI single that scored Meredith.

LVC scored two in the fifth and broke the game open scoring eight runs across the final three innings of play.

The Lions plated a run in the seventh on an O'Connor RBI single. In the eight inning, Eddie Meredith and Deklyn Marks both notched RBI singles for Albright.

Tesoriere, O'Connor and Berretta all had two hits for Albright. Barton went 1-4 with a two RBI double and a run scored. Reece Adam also collected a hit for Albright and had a run scored.

Albright will head to Lebanon Valley tomorrow afternoon for two seven inning games. Game 1 is set for a 12 p.m. start time.
