Men’s Tennis Dominates Eastern on the Road Winning 8-1

The Albright men’s tennis team dominated on the road defeating Eastern 8-1 picking up their first MAC Commonwealth win of the 2023 Spring Season.

ST. DAVIDS, Pa. - The Albright College men's tennis team (3-4, 1-3 MAC Commonwealth Spring Season) had it going early and often during todays match winning convincingly over Eastern (2-5, 1-3 MAC Commonwealth) by a final score of 8-1.

The eight match victories mark the most in a single match overall for the Lions during the 2023 spring season.

Fox Bryan won his match in three sets this afternoon. Bryan dropped the first set 1-6 and came back with vengeance winning the second set 6-0 and the third set 6-3 to secure the match victory.

Arpit Gainder won handily today winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-2. Dylan Huha was in action during #4 singles and won easily, winning 6-3, 6-0.

Clay Lewandowski and Gavin Buckley both had no trouble with their opposition winning in straight sets. Lewandowski won 6-2, 6-2 and Buckley only dropped one game winning his match 6-1, 6-0.

The Lions swept the doubles portion of todays match only dropping six games total throughout the three matches played. Fox and Lewandowski won 8-3, Gainder and Buckley 8-3 and Mike Vogt and Huha won 8-2 over Eastern.

The men's tennis team will play two matches this Saturday, April 15. The men's tennis team will be on the road for both matches playing against Hood College at 11:00 a.m. and squaring off against McDaniel at 3:00 p.m.
