READING, Pa. - The Albright women's lacrosse team (8-4, 2-1 MAC Commonwealth) returned to the field for the first time in seven days and fell to nationally ranked York College (Pa.) (11-3, 5-0 MAC Commonwealth) 16-6 in MAC Commonwealth women's lacrosse action.
The Spartans started quickly, scoring eight times in the opening 15 minutes. York College led 14-1 at the half.
Chole Fornoff tallied the lone goal in the first period for Albright. The goal was the 23rd of the season for the senior midfielder.
Three different Lions tallied a goal for Albright in the third period looking to climb back into the game. Ashleigh Tortorice, Lauren China and Brianna Kung each tallied one goal in the frame.
China scored her second goal of the game in the fourth period and Kayte Moist followed China's second goal with a free position goal.
Blair Nicole and Kung each had four ground balls in the contest. In addition to China's two goals she recorded three caused turnovers and six shots on goal.
