FREDERICK, MD. - The Albright women's lacrosse team (9-6, 3-3 MAC Commonwealth) went on the road this afternoon and picked up a huge win to keep pace in the MAC Commonwealth playoff race beating Hood College (5-10, 2-4 MAC Commonwealth) by a final score of 16-9.

Jen Willis collected her 100th win as the head coach of the program.
Chloe Fornoff surpassed the 100 career point mark with another strong performance today. Fornoff came into today's game needing just one point and easily surpassed that mark with a total of five points today. Also in today's game, Fornoff reached and surpassed the 200 carrer draw control total. Fornoff needed four draw controls to reach 200 in her carrer and blew by that total recording 12 total draw controls in the game.
The Lions came out of the gates ready to go scoring the game's first five goals.
Abbie Moist scored twice in the opening frame both coming on free position goals.

Lauren China all tallied one goal each giving the Lions a quick 5-0 lead.
Albright was in control of the game taking a 8-4 lead into halftime. China collected her eighth hat trick of the season in today's game by scoring twice more in the second period. Fornoff added another goal to her stat line giving Albright a four goal halftime advantage.
The two sides played an even third quarter each finding the back of the net three times.
Ashleigh Tortorice, Lycett and Fornoff each scored in the frame for Albright.
The Lions took over the game in the fourth period, outscoring Hood 5-2 in the final 15 minutes. After Hood made the game 11-9, Albright closed on a 5-0 run to seal the 16-9 victory.
With the win the Lions are now in the fifth spot in the MAC Commonwealth standings. The top five teams in the conference qualify for the postseason.
Tortorice, Fornoff and China led the way offensively, each scoring four goals. A. Moist and Lycett added two goals of their own while also each recording one assist.
Fornoff was masterful in the circle today, recording a season high 12 draw controls in the game.

Albright will be back at home for their final two games of the regular season. The first game will be played on Wednesday, April 26 against Lebanon Valley. The game is set for a 6 p.m. start.
